The movie that I have chosen for this study is God Father Part 1. This movie was released in 1972 and is considered as a trend setter, not just for its time but also for the years to come later on. The movie had been a big success, not just in those years but the people watch it even 30 or 40 years after its release. This is mainly because this movie was an original theme and was followed by any previous movie of the same kind. One more kind to consider was the level of risk that the producer took when presenting this movie to the public. Since no previous experience of this kind of movie existed, it was a big risk for the producer to develop a movie of this genre. In addition to that, one of the most unforgettable notions of the movie included the term “its business, not personal”. This highlighted the power of the mafia, especially in the Italian mafia as well as their approach to all their activities. In addition to that, it is important to note that the movie showed the mafia world as an organization and the tricks of the trade to maintain the upper hand (Messenger, C. K. 2002).

Furthermore, it could be said that the whole organization relied on the element of fear and which was highlighted as a difference maker within different organizations. For example, in the wedding of the daughter of the first god father (Marlon Brando), a man named Bonasera came to ask the god father a favor. The god father played with him with his words and indirectly forced him to kiss his hand and realize him as the true god father. Even though, this individual was a friend of the god father, he still made him submit in front of him. This was the exact approach of gaining someone's devotion and glorifying the elements of fear as well as power. In addition to that, another important thing to notice is the mafia people realizing themselves as businesses, and not highlighting it to the police, the judges as well as the people.
