ABSTRACT

In this paper, the researcher aims to determine global economic crises and the response by airlines, a case study into the effects of the crises on European airlines. The 2008 financial crises caused massive havoc to the aviation industry whilst most of the worldwide industries faced global recession; the effects to the aviation industry were un-presented thus becoming the biggest crises in the industry since the aftermath of 911. The reason the central bank buys own currency or currency of other nations is to control the exchange rate. This is done when there is an excess circulation of money in the market. This excess circulation of money in the market reduces the value of the currency. The exchange rate of the country also affects by this. This study examines to what extent the global aviation crises effected labour market and union labour relations how were the job reduction policy's viewed by trade unions who represented employees of the airlines The research was essentially include a literature review that had examined the backbone of the literature available on my topic. Additionally I had undertaken primary research in the form of surveys this type of research was essential as it enabled me to gain different viewpoints and opinions for my research and as a result I can gain a wider source of knowledge from the trade unions themselves in order to incorporate into my ...
