The Effect of Nursing Intervention on Patient with Ventricular Dysrhythmia and Congestive Heart Failure
Introduction
This research paper is based on the effect of nursing intervention on patient with ventricular arrhythmia and congestive heart failure. Heart failure (HF) is a chronic disease with severe symptoms which can lead to repeated hospitalizations. There is an ethical obligation that all nursing action should be directed to seek the welfare of the patient, and the patients should receive this treatment in accordance with their dignity. Patients have the right to be informed about the ventricular arrhythmia and congestive heart failure. One of the nursing work is related to the information provided by the patient about the disease, about the diagnosis, the nature, risks, benefits and recommendations.
It is very essential for the nurses and other healthcare professionals to help the patients of ventricular arrhythmia and congestive heart disease to understand the disease, possible risks and treatments. Doctors and nurses must seek relevant information; however, the nurse should not forget that too much information may hinder comprehension. This excess is increased by using unfamiliar terms, or if the information is not well organized. Some data could be irrelevant or trivial; others could be critical, probably decisive. A method for communicating new and specialized information for people with low health literacy is to draw analogies, metaphors between information and regular events or circumstances known to the patient (Karlsson, 2003).
Discussion and Analysis
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is a clinical condition characterized by the presence of signs and symptoms caused by venous congestion, either pulmonary or systemic, for low cardiac output, or both. Nursing care plan must assess the patient's lifestyle, physical condition and treatment. It must take into account their age, the work performed, the personality, the family situation, motivation, desire to cooperate with treatment and response to it.
Communication is central in the act of care and cure. The open and constructive communication between the patients of ventricular arrhythmia and congestive heart failure can generate an atmosphere of acceptance and respect which can ensures greatest good for the patient and this is therapeutic because the patient is comfortable, secure, and confident. It is important for the nursing staff ...
