THE DEVELOPMENT OF COMMUNITY CARE

The Development of Community Care

[Date of Submission]Executive Summary

Little joint attention is received by the community and community care. Support and care issues have been largely neglected in area-based work since the role for community development has been heightened, and communities are been focused, by the social inclusion and regeneration policy agendas. About the quality of long term care for disabled people there was increasing concern and criticism, in the era of 1980s. The idea of care in the community was yet committed by the government; a report called 'making a reality of community care' was published by the Audit Commission in the year of 1986. Rather than formal and statutory sector definitions, much broader definitions of community care were adopted by community representatives and groups. At a local level, the prerequisite of community care development is the community development. Local conditions affect the pace and the nature of the projects of community development as the projects operate in a wide cultural and socio-economic context and at a small-scale intervention. One worker is unsustainable in the long term who is working across two areas; therefore, a diligent worker is needed for each area. To ensure the ability to consult with community members widely, considerable resources are required by community networks. The spin-off of community care development is the training and employment opportunities for local people. The new community activities arising from communities that do not have skills and resources to take on new caring responsibilities unsupported and community care development need to be supported by statutory agencies. In the formulation of the local community care activities, the vulnerable groups must be involved explicitly by future work needs, and decisive role might be performed by an advocate for community care issues. In development work, the potential ability and strengths to contribute to the community of vulnerable community members must be highlighted.

The Development of Community Care

Introduction

Little joint attention is received by the community and community care. Rather than by the community, the community care policy continues usually to be delivered with professionals, who to deliver care and support, adopted an individualistic approach. Support and care issues have been largely neglected in area-based work since the role for community development has been heightened, and communities are been focused, by the social inclusion and regeneration policy agendas (Baldock, 1974, pp. 123). Rather than in an institution, the caring and treatment for mentally and physically disabled people in their homes, by the British policy of deinstitutionalization, is called the domiciled care or community care or care in the community.
