The current use of plastic bags in shopping

Introduction

Mother earth is the only planet where human beings can survive. The necessity mediums for the survival of human beings are water and oxygen. However, the human race is continuously polluting the land and water of the earth making the life miserable on planet earth.

The main sources of contamination are chemical fumes and toxic substances which are exposed to the air and water. Factories dispose their waste materials in water polluting the environment and simultaneously other supplies are also contaminated as other sources such as car radiators and air conditioners do pollute the environment.

One of the common means of contaminating the land is physical pollutants which include wrappers, waste material and mainly plastic bags which not only pollute the land but also the water supplies of the earth making the survival of marine life and human begins difficult.

Plastic bags are shopping bags which are used by the human race to purchase grocery and other items and use them to carry their purchases from shopping malls and stores to home. When their carrier usage is complete people dispose of the bags in waste bins and on the streets making them look untidy and polluted.

Discussion

The danger which is possessed by plastic bags is that they are not decomposable as they are made up of waste of plastic. Plastic bags are made up of polymers which are non - degradable and pollute the environment in such a manner that they can never be disposed of the earth (Lacoma, 2013).
