ABSTRACT

In this study we try to explore the concept of refugee community organizations in a holistic context. London is a rich country and refugees and immigrants make a remarkably important part of what London is today. The main focus of the research is on how the country has accommodated and created room for refugees and immigrants, who continued to make way for contributed their combined, unique skills and efforts in the light of country and community development altogether and its relation with how the country progresses and continues to make way for progress. The idea behind the conduct of this research would be to make a better understanding and comprehension of challenges and the strategies that are being adopted by refugees communities organizations (RCO's), in order to make way for recovering the otherwise dismantled position of refugees. The research also analyses many aspects of RCO's and tries to gauge its effect on refugee and immigrant development. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for refugee and immigrant development and tries to describe the overall effect of RCO's on the stability and consistent development of refugees and their utilization as part of grooming London, making it grow.

To identify the factors that drive and enabled RCO's to develop and grow and survive;

To explore the impact of changes in government policy: refugee, asylum and immigration legislation and the current economic environment (Austerity Measures) that contributed to RCO's eventual decline and death; and

To investigate what the future holds for RCO's in an ever increasingly difficult period.

With the research objectives above, it would aid the compilation and timely completion of the study and yielding constructive hypothesis in order for us to prove them accordingly.
