James McBride is regarded by many as one of the best American writer and musician to be born ever. His compositions were in a league of his own and were used by many other artists as a source of motivation. He is known more for his music compositions than for his ability to write. Although, his works has received a great appreciation although writing was not considered by many as his forte. McBride is best-known for his work 'The Color of Water'. In the course of the book, the author tends to describe the phases of the life as he tends to grow up in family which was African American and hardly afforded any luxurious life style.
