In our research on the early childhood care field, the study will emphasize on the role of center director in day care to deliver quality services to children and address core concerns while working as an advocate in collaboration with co workers, parents and children. The three chief study projected questions involve:

What are the Center Director Responsibilities?

The childcare center director is responsible to systematize, plan, address, synchronize, direct and execute decisions being an authority, make independent pronouncements related to childcare programs, policies, budgets and employee's management (Childcare Center, 2013). They are responsible to assure that every child must attain best promising care through affection, apprehension and respect (Care Connection, n.d). The director is answerable for children edification, care and well-being maintenance in daycare. The responsibilities expand to the quality assurance under accreditation and federal licensing through workforce assessment. Prime concern in the center director responsibility is to resolve the association gap between the programs for children early care and financial decisions. This occurs because of availability of little training and educational programs for directors and precise literature addressing directors best practices making tough for directors to polish their skills and knowledge (Feeney and Freeman, 2001). They organize training programs for employees, workshops for parents and children, develop marketing strategies to attract clients and sponsors, develop care programs under regulatory ethics and compliance (Davoren, 2009).

How can a center director work as an advocate?

The director work as an advocate through up hoisting voice for the children along with activism through participating in the forum, newspapers, social media to ask about children social justice, focus on education, care and other early childhood concerns (Early Childhood, 2013). The director as an advocate will manage rights for special and neglected children and report abuse. This includes concerns related to legal requirements and report development, professional responsibilities to report protocols and discussions to parents, children about supposed mistreatment. The director as an advocate has to follow ethical “early childhood” code of conducts (ECA) to advocate children rights as enchanted in UN Convention on Children Rights, 1991 (Sec I, Point II, 2006) (Karageorge, et al. 2008). Being an advocate to protect and deliver care and rights to neglected and abused children, the director must aware of ethical and legal considerations. These include “National Association for Young Children Education” (NAEYC) ethical codes and interact with legislative, executive and judicial branches to protect such children and improve their quality of life. The court system facilitates the judicial advocacy however, it's not frequently used. The advocate design “child protective services” protocol to fulfill legal requirements, raise voice through social media through proper report description to highlight the crime with reasoning (“Early Childhood”. 2013).
