Introduction

Texas Declaration of Independence a historical document, a formal declaration of independence of the Republic of Texas from Mexico, which took place during the Texas Revolution. It was signed 2 March 1836 in Washington. The Declaration proclaimed the creation of a new state, based on the works of John Locke and Thomas Jefferson.
