Introduction

Psychometric assessments are an option within the different types of psychological tests used by companies within the selection process. They serve to identify certain values, traits and skills in job applicants. They are used to determine among several candidates who is the most suitable of all for the job and the company. The results of psychometric tests, unlike projective scales are standardized; this serves to compare results with those of others who have already taken the test. That is, it yield measurable results that can be compared in a statistical graph locating the results and compare with the standard. Through them we can measure personality traits, values, interests, skills, abilities, intelligence, preferences, behavioral tendencies, etc (Bryon, 2008).
