Introduction

Personality analysis is a series of tests that are performed on an individual to understand the different traits of his personality. A number of ways and tests can be used to measure the personality of a person and then different appropriate ways can be used to deal with different personality types and the associated problems and difficulties. Personality tests can be used in various situations and various different organizations. All the armed forces use these tests to induct the suitable people in the forces. These tests are also now widely used in the selection of candidates in various organizations.

The personality test that will be used is the Thematic Apperception Test.

Thematic Apperception Test

Thematic Apperception Test - psycho-diagnostic projective technique developed in the 1930s, Harvard Henry Murray and Christiana Morgan. The aim was to study the technique of the driving forces of the individual - internal conflicts, interests, interests, and motivations. After World War II, the test has become widely used by psychoanalysts and clinicians to work with disturbances in the emotional sphere of patients

Strengths and Weaknesses of Projective Tests

This technique is used to learn about the personality of an individual using qualitative technique. This technique, as well as, other techniques likes these are helpful as they serve as an icebreaker and help in encouraging the client to share his or her emotions and feelings. There also are a number of weaknesses, as well as, limitations that are associated with the Thematic Apperception Test. The biggest limitation associated with this test is that the responses of the client can be greatly influenced by the attitude and behavior of the examiner. This is a highly subjective test and the responses of the clients can vary from one examiner to another.
