Describe what type of quantitative research design is used and how do you know.
In case 3, the type of quantitative research design used is Experimental design because of the random selection of students in each of the math program. There is no significant difference in experimental and Qausi - Experimental programs but the difference of random selection in the controlled and treatment groups.
Provide a graphical representation of the design. Make sure you label the group selection method, the pre-measure, the treatment, and the post-measure, if applicable.
Describe how the design controls for internal validity.
The internal validity has been controlled through the random selection of students in each of the Singapore math program and traditional math program so that the results should not biased focusing on any particular group.
Describe why you chose this design over the other two designs.
The reason for choosing design 3 is that it is more appropriate to the real world situations i.e. researchers usually go for the experimental designs while conducting such type of studies.

Explanation
In the above table, there are three variables which were analyzed including the total weight of the back pack, the overall class rank and gender of the students whether male or female. There were total 6 students taken from the mid - west college with the lowest weight of backpack is 5kg and 60kg being the highest. Similarly, the class ranks shows the overall standing of the class with 3rd student being at the top with rank 4 and 5th student being at the bottom with rank 352.
