Several months ago the United States Intelligence Community (IC) received a broad intelligence intercept indicating that a major domestic terrorist attack would occur against the US within 3 to 9 months. This intercept was received with some speculation from some intelligence analyst throughout the IC due to the lack of any follow on intelligence suggesting that the intercept may hold some validity [1].
