Introduction

The approach of termination of employment in organization is as important as the hiring process of employees. The study is an attempt to reflect the approach of termination in organization like Tesco. This study also highlights the differences between fair and unfair dismals, importance of exists interviews to both parties and the measures in order to manage redundancies.

Discussion

The process of termination in organization occurs due to various reasons like poor performance of the employees, Falsifying company records, Misconduct, Stealing, usage of company property for personal business, consistent violation of company policies etc( Doyle Alison,2013,pp.1-2) . But there are also some unethical and illegal actions related to termination taken by organizations in order to fire the employee. The illegal termination of employees is called unfair dismissals and the legal and ethical cessation of employees is called fair dismissal. One of the reasons defined by (AS, 2009, pp.04) is that if some restriction forbids employee for continuing employment then dismissal takes place.

Sometimes termination also takes place from employee side also when the employee decides to leave organization at his or her own will. The reasons can be that employee does not feel comfortable with the working environment or not feasible with the company policies. According to the “Employment Right Act 1996” an employer can only make dismissal of employee when he or she follows the above mentioned reasons. The dismissal become unfair if an employer dismiss an employee regardless of tenure of his or her job, for a reason associated to discrimination protects by the “Equality Act 2010”
