The advent of reality TV has revolutionized the power relations of its audiences with the medium. The evolution of this interactive television has also been met with calls for an evaluation between the text presented on the television and the viewer and his perceptions, and how this material results in changes in the behavior and active participation in the television (Marris & Thornham, pp.121). This transformation, along with the development of media technologies, has opened up a wide range of avenues and possibilities for broadening trends of cultural democracy and active viewer participation.
