Do technological Developments over the Past 30 Years have had only Positive Effects on People's Health?

Introduction

It is a general perception amongst people that the technological developments is ought to serve the mankind in several ways, it helps benefit cure the diseases by doing extensive research on the microorganisms, and whilst doing research on such tiny organisms, there is a dire need for the technological sophistication and precise readings so that particular organisms can be detected. Moreover, science has emerged from the very basics of human life, from wheel and electricity everything has taken its shape and evolved somehow. Scientists have been working on the majority of fields related to science, like, engineering, medical sciences, applied physics, astro-physics etcetera.

When there is total and utter dependence of technology, then there exist similar consequences and side effects of such precarious dependence, noticeably on the children and those who take things as their only way to reconcile.

Rapidly changing technology has an imperative role on every part of our lives. Especially, medical technology has used to save people who are suffering from wide range of diseases. Owing to medical technology, patients are diagnosed, treated and monitored far in better ways. The common belief about appliances of medical technology is that, they have a noteworthy impact on people's quality of life and health. These appliances make us to live longer and healthier. By this way, citizens can enrich society for longer.

Technological developments have benefited people's lives in many ways. Through the medical technology, people can live longer and healthier because the life expectancy is increased and the quality of life is improved by medical technology. Nowadays, many patients can look forward to living healthy under favor of developed medical technology. Medical technology has contributed dramatic advances in chronic diseases such as heart diseases. Heart diseases are important example of how technological developments have affected health care positively over the past 30 years. According to KFF Organization, Cardiac care units such as lidocaine, beta-blockers were invented in the 1970s. Lidocaine was helpful to control irregular heartbeat and beta blockers were used after a heart attack for reducing blood pressure in the first three hours and coronary artery bypass surgeries applied more common.

In the 1980s, heart attack reoccurrences were prevented by using blood thinners. In the 1990s, innovation of effective drugs prevented clot formation, revascularization was used with stents for keeping blood vessel open, and furthermore, lidocaine was replaced with implantable cardiac defibrillators for regulating heartbeats. In the 2000s, diagnosing heart attack became easier than past because of more effective tests also new drugs were introduced for instance, aspirin and ACE inhibitors for people who have heart problems or potential problems.
