Introduction

Teamwork is the ability to work simultaneously in the direction of a common dream; the proficiency to direct one-by-one accomplishments in the direction of organizational objectives. It creates the motivation and aspiration that allows ordinary people to achieve unusual results. In any effort that takes more than one individual, the concept of teamwork comes into play. Teamwork is characterized as the cooperative effort of a group of persons in the direction of meeting a collective goal. It is challenge for the leaders of the groups of people, for instance, in a work division, is to get everybody to pull together and function as a team instead of going in different directions. One way to foster teamwork is to engage the members in activities that require them to work together. Activities can be physical in nature or require the use of team brain power to solve a problem. Fun activities such as sports or games can allow the team members to relax and enjoy working with one another.

Thesis Statement

Teamwork is an essential part of the organizational settings nowadays. It constitutes advancement for the organization and the individual employees, both. Therefore, it is required to communicate the consequences of teamwork to the employees of the organization. In addition, the teamwork practices should be promoted at workplaces.

Discussion

Organizational heritage is recounted as the shared convictions and values that leverage of organizational members. When an association has a clear set of standards and they charter workers that are eager to adhere to these standards, there is a better possibility for success. Some of the values that are important for the success of an organization are: teamwork, high performance expectations, taking risks, and innovation (Kerber, Kenneth & Buono, 2004).
