Executive Summary

Organizational behavior is the study of the human behavior (employees' behavior) within the organization. It deals with the behavior of employees and attitudes either in a positive way, or negative way, throughout their organizational culture. It is also the study of team dynamics because; in each organization employees' perform in the shape of team. Teams can be consisted of more than one member, working on the same project or completing specified tasks in a certain interval of time. The chapter has discussed team behavior, their interdependency on each other, types of teams and how these teams can be composed? And, what are the key aspects which a team should have in order to complete the project in the certain interval. The chapter tells about five different teams such as work teams, management teams, parallel teams, project teams and action teams. There are also certain variations in teams because of team development stages, and standard stages of team development. There are also certain interdependencies of teams such as pooled interdependence, sequential, reciprocal and comprehensive. Team composition is dependent upon member roles, member abilities, member personality and member diversity. This chapter also focuses that team size is also the key factor in the construction of the team to perform the desired tasks.
