The organisation and structure of your task:

The task should be written following this structure so that the students can easily understand it the complete guidlines.

Introduction and rationale (description)

In the school where the lesson was taught the current theme was things that glow and sparkle in the knowledge and understanding of the world. A theme provides children and adults with an ambience of information and helps them develop knowledge and understanding through purposeful independent experiences which they can discuss and talk about and relate to their previous knowledge (Alexander, 2010). The lesson was built on a medium term plan.

In the school, the curriculum is planned using the corner stones method, and the lesson was built upon the current plan. The lesson dissolving and mixing substances helped develop essential skills such as observing, comparing, enquiring and exploring in this area of learning. It also linked to the other areas of learning within the curriculum. According to Jerome Bruner The spiral curriculum reflects a belief in children's learning as a process of building and revisiting on previous experience, skills, knowledge and understanding as children continue to develop.

This should be a brief introduction to the school based context of your lesson and the reasons why you selected the content. For example, you may like to refer to the way the curriculum is organised or the way in which the medium term planning is written (Alexander, 2010). This part of your work should be broadly descriptive and concise.

Critical Reflection (analysis through to reflection)

This is the key component of your task. At this stage, it does not matter whether the lesson was successful or not but it is important that you demonstrate the ability to reflect on your teaching and the quality of the children's learning (Allen, et al. 2012).

In this section you should seek to address these key questions:

Consider how your planning and preparation affected the quality of your teaching. Were there any parts of the lesson that required more planning?

John Dewey portrayed reflection as the "animated, persevering, and watchful attention of any conviction or assumed manifestation of information in light of the grounds that underpin." The reflective specialist analyzes her suspicions about learners, topic, studying hypothesis and systems, the setting, and her center convictions keeping in mind the end goal to study and develop her instructing practice. Reflection is recursive; reflection offers ascent to activity, which thus heads over to reflection.

There are three chances for reflection - in the recent past, throughout, and in the wake of educating (Arthur, et al. 2006). The lesson plan reflection work furnishes the skeleton for in profundity examination of an instructing episode using each of the three opportunities.
