Introduction

A Teacher is person who guides and imparts knowledge in any educational program. The teacher must be patient and understanding in delivering his information. Teacher must realize the needs of every individual, which creates foundation of prosperous nation. Teacher must be proficient in the subject matter means he must have complete command on the subject he is going to teach, physically fit so that he can cope up with every events occurring at educational level and he must be morally healthy for the sake of betterment of students' future. Similarly a morally unhealthy teacher is not only a danger for the whole of the society.

Nowadays teacher is important because of recent technology's that are serious business and for this individual needs complete attention and satisfaction that should satisfy them in meeting the standards. Learning must be done in such a way that it doesn't become hectic job for anyone rather it becomes valuable and enjoyable process. The responsibility of a teacher is to make individual aware of his abilities, retain his identities and to clear the picture of democratic society in mind for future. Teacher must make them realize the requirements of the society keeping in view the culture, religion, tradition, environment, personal capabilities, and social approach. Teacher must enhance creativity and produce encouragement in them.

Teachers self concept plays a vital role in teaching career life because he is the one who can bring bright future of any nation by educating pupils efficiently and in modified manner. Teaching is a process of imparting knowledge education professionally, in this way he must have the ability to understand human nature, ability to grasp, direct the learning process, ability to motivate the pupils to learn, ability to develop attitudes desired in thoughts and behavior, ability to identify his own learning procedures and to improve them also and to deliver and adopt the social, emotional and personal attributes that conducive to successive teaching.

Understanding Students

It is essential that teachers understand children are all individuals with their own styles of learning, they have their own problems, interests, strengths and weakness'. Schooling in the twenty-first century is not a case of factory production, as it may have been seen last century, and today we empathise that many students may have problems at home, either family sickness, economic difficulties or, sadly, abuse. If teachers become aware of these problems it is important to seek appropriate help and support.

Every student is different, be it their sex, culture, economic circumstances, learning style, mental aptitude or ethnicity, and these differences can lead to overt or subliminal discrimination. Garcia (1984) says that the best way to overcome discrimination is by eliciting excellence from everyone. Hatton (2001) talks of Henry's (1989) study of teachers lowered expectations of working class students and the same can be said for many minority groups.
