Yeshiva rabbi arrangements are authentic and innovative inventions in the world of Torah made in the last century, since the renovation of 'Mussar' i.e. the concept of meeting morality.
Learning in general and within Torah study is the encounter between the human and the subject matter and their thought. Thus, examining the changes which brought yeshiva to the world should be done in three key areas:
Whether the definition changes Torah, and the objects of learning?
Is the human figure learner affects Torah study?
Are these two significantly different ways of learning?
The most notable area of change in the study of Torah is expanding the concept of 'Torah'. The Talmudical Yeshiva of Philadelphia was opened by the RC in 1953, in order to expand on such concepts. Moreover, the idea was to establish a Jewish base of learning and education in the east coast of the USA.
This Yeshiva in the city of Philadelphia is a high school which consists of more than 100 students. These students are distributed on the basis of their learning in four separate grade levels. Furthermore, the place of learning has established 'Beit Midrash'. This is done so as to continue the education and learning of students who are ready to go to colleges. A fully accredited secular education course material is taught to the student body of 100. These students come from different states of the country. Most notably participation rates of student are specifically higher from those coming from the state of New York. These students have to reside in the dormitories constructed by the RV solely for student's facilitation. These dormitories are in a very close proximity to the buildings where classes and learning practices are conducted.
The main reason behind the formation of the Yeshiva was to extend to the students a strong educational background, enriched with the knowledge of Rabbinical and Talmudic studies. The graduating students of the Yeshiva in Philadelphia continue on to other Yeshiva's situated in the country. Some of the students also go to other higher and established places of learning of the Jewish religion.
Is the yeshiva "al Derech" Slobadko-Europe? How so?
Yes, the Talmudic Yeshiva of Philadelphia, is Al Derech i.e. Slobadko Europe. This is because they emphasis on the concepts of Mussar i.e. the concept of meeting morality. Until not long ago it was concluded that individuals studying in the Yeshiva are doing so in order to meet their morality. The idea behind such instruction is to to continue the study into the practices of Yeshiva based in Philadelphia (Goldberg, 2011).
No institutions for Torah students and graduates are anywhere in the state. As such the reality of the yeshiva graduates had synagogues but no study halls. RY accepted the price paid by the individual, and take comfort in that yeshiva graduates, for the most part, are involved in his community and the world, kindness, education, prayer in the synagogue and ...
