Abstract

The paper is based on the feasibility report that has been presented on the evaluation of introducing iPad in the Pinellas County schools of Florida. The paper has addressed the undertaking of project in the schools of Pinellas County located in the state of Florida, United States. The project was based on “Are iPads good for kids in school” that needs to analyze various aspects of the iPads thereby needed to evaluate the effectiveness of the iPad technology in the schools. Various primary and secondary schools have already introduced the iPad technology in the schools of Pinellas County, Florida thereby implementing the plan. The need for introducing the IT savvy tools is imperative in the educational institutions as it facilitate the learning for the students along with the benefit of providing easy techniques to the teachers for teaching their students in an effective manner. The paper has presented all the aspects of the iPads that are both positive and negative as is the requirement of the feasibility report. It has been observed in the studies carried out with respect to the use of iPads in the educational settings, that the use of iPads has greatly benefitted the schools, teachers and the students availing the education. The use of iPads has made the students faster in browsing the applications through the app stores that is provided in the iTunes. Moreover, the students are also facing other benefits due to the introduction of iPad technology in their school activities. However there are some of the disadvantages that have been faced by the students that include the lack of memory of iPads, absence of USB port and the higher prices of these iPads are all the concerns that have been highlighted in the project in order to evaluate its efficiency.

Feasibility Report

Introduction

The idea of executing any project or plan after taking into account its positive and negative aspects is said to be included in the Feasibility report. The feasibility of any plan or project is determined by extracting information and analyzing its core operations in order to observe whether it will be beneficial in future or not for the respective workplace or community. The feasibility report thus enables the professional to estimate the cost and benefits of the projects that needs to be undertaken by the organization or community for expansion of their activities. In the current feasibility report, the idea of “are iPads good for kids in school” has been analyzed. The plan of using iPads in schools of Pinellas County has been identified for the state and local community.

Summary

The new age of technology and its rising importance in the industries has made the concerned authorities to introduce IT tools in the schools and other educational institutions.
