Introduction

Marks & Spencer, the British retailer that launched in 2007 its “Plan A” which contains 180 targets to be met between 2015 and 2020, do not get a very good note. If the company passes in an annual report that has already served 62 of the 180, something does not seem to square. Today the concept of Eco-friendly policy has been imposed on the world stage. While recognizing that the state is responsible for defining and implementing public policies that set the course when and where the complementary efforts of other sectors, it is also assumed the difficulty of modern states to resolve the growing size and complexity current issues that affect the various sectors, especially those with fewer resources, are left out of the benefits of modernity Schwartz, 2003, 503).

Marks and Spencer has developed and implemented a multilateral Eco-friendly approach that can address the need to correct and repair the damage that has been done. However, simultaneously it is essential for the Marks and Spencer to manage and maintain enough space for the modernization which will help in facing the challenges. Therefore, it is imperative for the Eco-friendly policy to take the confidence of employees and reassure them that the Marks and Spencer has gone through a phase of change. However, it is observed that this phase is nothing more than a temporary setback and not an indication of a change in the company's approach towards its employees or its working philosophy. The Eco-friendly policy of Marks and Spencer will have to address all of these areas. It is essential to realize that a number of areas have been influenced as a result of this incident (Husted, 2000, 24).
