The report is based on the six components of Supply Chain of Harvey Norman. The topic of Supply Chain is very vast and it has got a lot of value. In the current scenario of the business world, the importance of Supply Chain has increased further. Harvey Norman is one of the largest IT based companies in the Australia and they are having various operations in many parts of the world. This is the reason why the company needs to keep its Supply Chain operations efficient and must ensure the proper functioning of its components. The global environment is very tough and competitors are even a big threat for Harvey Norman. Companies need to maintain consistent performance to perform well in the market and also needs constant improvement in their Supply Chain operations in order to achieve their objective. Therefore, Harvey Norman will need to analyze their entire six components of Supply Chain to bring improvement in these areas for better performance.

Introduction
Harvey Norman has continued its profitable performance from the past 30 years. The company has managed a diverse franchise, retail and property system over these 30 years. There were 216 complexes relating to franchising as at December 31, 2001 in Australia which included 3 major brand names Harvey Norman wit 185 complexes, Joyce Mayne with 15 complexes and Domayne with 16 complexes. The retail businesses were also expanded in offshore locations during the past few years with a total of 73 complexes in different countries.

The goal of configuration of Harvey Norman's supply chain is to establish a support tool for decision-making, which product managers at the company can utilize during the process of development of a product in the case, when they have decided upon the design of the product and have to make decision regarding vendors. The supply chain of Harvey Norman links companies participating in different stages of the process together. In Harvey Norman, supply chain is a process of managing the production of different components of the products of Harvey Norman. They declared that the supply chain of Harvey Norman was an inebriating combination of magnificent pattern, inspirational software interfaces, and expendable commodities, which were digital (Monahan, 1984, pp. 720-6). This superb design of supply chain has allowed Harvey Norman to produce the best quality products for their customers that are of high quality. Harvey Norman has outsourced its production facilities to various suppliers all over the world. In doing so, they chose to deal with foreign suppliers from different Asian countries.
