Article 1: Framing divorce reform (media, mortality and politics of family)

Author (Adams & Coltrane, 2007) during course of their study has provided in-depth analysis of one of the most common issues of “divorce” and the need of bringing reforms in the principles of divorce to promote the culture of healthier marriage and stable society. The authors are of the view that since 21st century a new millennium of divorce and marriage have emerged, however, further explains that current population feels there is no difference between current reforms and earlier ones.

They further explained that through these reforms, the notion of divorce is becoming a matter of moral assessment and all those partners that are anxious to end their marriage because of various reasons are disapproved or disowned by the society. (Adams & Coltrane, 2007) during their course of study the conducted interview from various marriage counselors and analyzed the counselors has the potential of saving any sort of marriage from being overturned provided they can understand their reason of getting divorce.

Moreover, the stats of divorce in USA during the period of 19th century were on the lower side as compare to other countries, however, economic crises and other financial hurdles are presumed to be the core element of initiating the thought of divorce among a married couple. In addition to this, notion of divorce was blown out of proportion by media personals by televising the divorce of well-known public image and in quest of finding the reasons of their personal rift these media people have portrayed a less positive but high negative image of divorce in the mindset of people of the country.
