Introduction

The source that I chose to use for this assignment is the famous business and management magazine Harvard Business Review. Harvard Business Review is the termed as the original magazine based on extensive research that focuses primarily on the new and contemporary management techniques and practices and breakthrough ideas. The major focus of this magazine is on the people such as experienced leaders, emerging leaders and managers. Many management thinkers and scholars frequently publish their insights and findings in this magazine. The mission of Harvard Business Review is to improve the methods and enhance the practice of management in the changing world. Through the flagship magazine, books, websites and licensed editions the aim of HBR is to give the professionals all around the world with thorough insights and best practices to lead the organizations as well as themselves more effectively and efficiently so as to make a positive impact (hbr.org).

The authors specifically studied the newly hired chief financial officers in the United States. The supposition that women want family friendly working environment and the fact that they are less likely to leave the firm are quoted in the article.
