In the article “State of Our Unions: Marriage Promotion and the Contested Power of Heterosexuality”, the author Melanie Heath has explained the potential of marriages and marriage promotion program. This program of marriage promotion was presented by the advocates in order to minimize the rate of single parenting and divorce. In my opinion, this policy and program of the government is a good strategy so that the cases of divorce and single parenting can be reduced to a minimal rate.
