Thrombosis is the formation of solid masses of platelets and fibrin in the circulation. It may be arterial or venous. The chances of venous as well as arterial thrombosis increases as a person advances in age. Moreover, thrombosis is also associated with various scenarios such pregnancy, surgery and so forth.
