Summary of Pope Urban II's Call at Clermont, November 1195
This primary source is a speech delivered by Pope Urban II at the Council of Clermont. In this speech he calls Christians to begin fighting against the Muslims who not only caused great problems to Byzantine Empire but also acquired their holy land of Jerusalem.
