A summary of the practice experience and learning settings

Introduction

Doing a placement is a wonderful opportunity for many students to experience the actual professional, working and business world. It is also to discover personal strengths and weaknesses at professional level. All the placements have considerable levels of duties for students. The main purpose of the placement for the students is to learn and apply, what they have taught at their institutions. It also helps the students to go back in the professional environment with complete positive attitude. It always gives opportunity to the students to improve chances of finding works, to learn how to use skills at workplace, to develop the confidence, to gain experience of real work life, to get work reference and to add this in their Curriculum Vitae. Involvement in the work experience activities gives the opportunity to the students to build up their current job skills, to learn new skills and increase more chances of getting jobs. It also provides practical ways to the students to connect with the communities and to show their abilities to the employers.

The purpose of rehabilitation is to restore some or all of the patient's physical, sensory, and mental capabilities that were lost due to injury, illness, or disease. Rehabilitation includes assisting the patient to compensate for deficits that cannot be reversed medically. It is prescribed after many types of injury, illness, or disease, including amputations, arthritis, cancer, cardiac disease, neurological problems, orthopaedic injuries, spinal cord injuries, stroke, and traumatic brain injuries. it is important to note that the purpose of the rehabilitation centre is hardly to point out the differences between you and other individuals. Rehabilitation centres are established to improve the quality of life of an individual despite the negativity associated with the term 'rehabilitation centre' (Solomon & Baptiste, 2005).
