The main objective of this report is to introduce Tablet PC's, a recent advancement in the field of information technology, which is slowly integrating into educational systems. There are two types of Tablet PC's, a slate and a convertible. These technology advancements have not just benefited the field of education but have also shaped the area of communication and technology itself. Some of the basic advantages are students being able to replicate graphs and visual content, draw on the screen, take notes, derive information from various sources, and collaborate.
However, like any technology in this century, this too has its disadvantages, including faculty requiring special skills training.

Introduction
Over the past, few years there have been a various types of advancements in information and communication technology. These technology advancements have not just benefited the field of education but have also shaped the area of communication and technology itself. Powerful applications and software's along with the introduction of laptops, mobile phones, personal digital assistants and tablets, technology has much to offer to education. A recent advancement in the field of information technology is the use of Tablet PC's in educational setups.
Tablet PC's
There are two types of designs of a table suitable for different set of students. There is one known as a slate and the other called a convertible. The slate is a tablet with just a screen and a pen to write with, this does not include a keyboard to type on. However, the convertible model is like a regular traditional laptop with a screen that rotates and turns 180 degrees and can be folded down on the tablets keyboard. Software that is on these tablets is Microsoft XP, which has two very significant functions, One Note to write down instructions or equations with a stylus pen and Windows Journal also with the same functions as a one note only images from various other programs can be copied and pasted onto this e-notepad (Mock, 2004).
Classrooms today are becoming more technology oriented than before, with more and more students unable to even relate or remember a time when classrooms did not have either computers or some sort of technology that was not being used on a daily basis. Tablets give students and teachers a chance to browse for data quickly and also collaborate with others and engage in learning and reaching processes.
Positive Aspects of Tablet PC's
Through the use of information technology, faculty of an institute and students can remain connected whether in class or outside of it.
