Introduction

'Study skills' is a term which is typically used in an imprecise way. Students either fined it tempting to know that a few tips will help them get the desired results, or those higher marks are something which they will never be able to achieve. Real progress in study skills can be only seen when skill development is one of the most significant part of the learning process; since, the learning process is one in which students get to learn about them and how they are performing in accordance to their potential. This process gives the students enough information about how an understanding can be developed about the effect attitude, opinions and state of mind on the success or education. Based on self-evaluation and its reflection, the process of self awareness is the fundamental to it, this is because the students can make themselves aware of their strengths and weaknesses along with the areas of improvement. It is, therefore, important for students to know their study skills because these skills are the sole foundation of a successful academic career (Squires, 2002, 53).

Adopting different learning styles is the best tool in order to make the student better understands the material. If we look at the history of almost 100 years, we would find that, before 100 year it was not a matter of consideration that in order to understand anything the learning styles matters. Society has changed a lot in the last 100 years. Now, the people believe that in order to understand anything it is very important for a teacher to provide its children a better learning style so that they can cope with the present needs. The education style in this society has changed, now almost every single person has got a degree. The main thing to be considered is that do we have a decent education system or do we provide appropriate learning styles to the children so that they can cope up with the studies (Rowntree, 1991, 35).

Therefore, parents should encourage their children to engage in the process of developing study skills and supporting this practice will provide them with self-management and support in this era of fast pace altering of knowledge. Although plagiarism is a serious offense, the student can avoid problems if you take precautions, he is honest and accurate. The fear of plagiarism, the student should not prevent full use of all resources that are within the work of other authors. The process of learning to exploit this responsibility seriously and work to increase their level of knowledge is the basis of academic training. The consultation of scholarly works gives excellent examples to follow, and the student should benefit from the opportunity to improve their own style (Northedge, 1990, 44).
