Introduction

Many students in the United States of America opt for studying in other countries like Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium because of favorable educational opportunities in these regions. However, this must not be forgotten that there are costs of studying in another country. The following paper discusses the costs and opportunities of studying abroad, how the students pose cautions to the hose country students and the problems faced by the businesses, the cultural aspects to be learnt and the presence of vast business and job opportunities that appear lucrative to the students and force them to study abroad other than America.

Advantages and Opportunities of Foreign Studies

Studying abroad may prove to be a life changing experience for a few students who have had successful careers and have completed their education. The students have returned back home proudly with their degrees and are now settled and working in big companies of the United States of America. They are a few however, who have settled in another country because of lucrative job opportunities they have had while they were studying. But, in majority students have given happy statements about their experiences (studyabroad.admin.unt.edu).

Some students have claimed that studying abroad gives them a chance to learn another language. This is the best way to immerse into a culture and learn their language and customs. Language learning becomes easier when one is surrounded by a language and the culture on a daily basis. On the other hand, for those who love to travel, studying abroad presents a great opportunity for a student to travel across countries and continents (ag.purdue.edu). This helps a student in visiting the places that would otherwise have not been visited. Also, while traveling one encounter many people and makes friends with them.

Students studying abroad have come back home with new ideas and an entirely new perspective about their own culture and native language. The experience gained abroad gives students a chance to broaden their perspectives and challenges them to reconsider their own existence, beliefs and values (Paracka, 2010). This experience may help a few students to have more strengthened belief on their cultural values or may force a few to switch too other concepts.
