Student Performance and Participation

Introduction

Research methodology technique has been planned to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully draft the methods of informative learning that are welcomed by students. Opting for an interactive and informative classroom for 7th grade students as a researcher for first time, it is deceptive how straightforward a skilled educator can make education classroom administration appear. (Vogt, 2005)

The main focus of the research is the student performance, participation and increasing attention, retention and transfer of information in Reading Intervention and 2nd Hour Reading classes by teaching Brain-based learning strategies. The basic idea to conduct this research is to find out methods to increase learning interests and student's focus of attention when students learn what their primary learning style. The San Carlos High School in Gila County is the focal point of this research, as the stats and observations are collected from there.

It has been observed that students run away from teachings just because of the difficult teaching methods implemented by the teachers and instructors. San Carlos High School was constituted up of a varied scholar body, with large figures of scholars from a multitude of heritage backgrounds and learners with personal and thoughtful impairments. (Stringer & Christensen, 2010)

Aims of the Module

•To develop the student's understanding and skills of understanding and focus of attention.

•To critically review a range of methodologies applicable to management and professional development research. (Rossman & Rallis, 2003)

•To help the students to deal with the practical aspects of planning, conducting and managing student performance, participation and increasing attention, retention and transfer of information. (Koshy, 2009)

Learning Classroom Management

We took two target groups for your project, with a minimum of eight students in each group. This is an action research project, not an experimental study (so no “control group”), so we had the have data for both groups to show a need and then plan for intervention with both groups. The groups were be teachers and students, students and parents, or two group of students, both performing below grade level in the same academic area or sub-area (e.g., reading comprehension) but at two different levels. Another possibility: Two groups of students, both performing below grade level in the same academic area or sub-area, with two different types of disabilities or two different levels of limited English proficiency---and so therefore needing two different sets of accommodations and/or modifications to materials and/or instructional strategies. (McMillan & Wergin, 2010)

Literature Review

Active participation of students in class is predictable to facilitate critical thinking, resulting in increased retention of information and learning. Participation is of two types, either voluntarily by students or on the preference of instructor. (Preissle & Tesch, 1997) Students consider voluntary participation quite easy in small group or classroom, while it is very challenging in large classrooms. (Glesne, 2006) Around 25% of students voluntarily participate in class discussions, while 12% dominates the participation. About 30% of the students at back seats of the class sleep, talk, or in any way do ...
