For most of us, food and stress go hand in hand. Food gives us the feeling of control and satisfaction that we most require when we are under any kind of stress. So it comes as no surprise that when we are experiencing stress and when our stress level goes up, our resistance to our favorite high calorie food goes down. Although having our favorite food during stressful situation isn't always bad, in fact these favorite food of ours actually help us in relieving stress, But they are helpful only when they are taken in moderation.
By giving our body the required nutrients it needs to stay healthy every day, we take a positive step towards combating stress on a daily basis. With the correct amount of nutrition, we are better inclined to face the challenges of the day effectively.

Introduction
Whenever we are stressed, our most common response to it is either to eat a lot or skip our meals. We either go for our most favorite high calorie comfort foods or skip eating altogether. Having our favorite foods in control to help us to overcome or ease our stress is fine in most cases. But if our eating habits caused by stress are not balanced and are poor, then they can lead to weight gain and not so good health in the long term. When we have a very busy life with tight schedules, it gets very easy for us to neglect the importance of sticking to a balanced diet. But in truth, a balanced diet with good nutrition can make a huge difference in feeling great and feeling energized.
If a person who feels like skipping a certain meal or a breakfast meal because he has a lot of work to do and cant spare enough time to eat, or if he is too much dependant on caffeine so that he is able to stay awake in the morning or any other time of the day when he has very low levels of energy, or if he is always starving when he gets back home from a busy day or from any activity, or if when he is in stress, he chooses to eat only those foods that are high in simple sugar, salt and fat, or if he is experiencing increase and decrease in his weight due to eating improperly in stress, this means that he has serious diet issues and that, his diet is being affected by his stress level. If he doesn't take any appropriate step to improve his eating habits, then his health will surely suffer in the long term.
