Smuggling of drugs in the Gulf of Aden is another important factor contributing in the instability of the state.
The condition of Yemen get worst and complicated in year 2011 when mass protests took place in the country due to economic crises and presidency of Salih. The protests took place by almost a year in which discreet diplomacy role was played by Saudi Arabia. After which Salih stepped down from presidency and all powers were given to Abd Rabbuh Mansur al-Hadi who was vice-president. United States intelligence got interested in Yemen after Al-Qaeda attacked USS Cole in which an American was destroyed. This took place in year 2000 in Aden. It was at the time of George Bush's presidency. In the analysis of Saudi Arabia's case, it is found that Yemen has never taken step and strategies which were adopted by Saudi Arabia. The aim of Saudi Arabia was not only to control terrorism by their military instead they focused on each and every citizen by arranging religious programs. By such strategies, Saudi Arabia was able to control the mindset of people and was motivated to perform modern activities in the time period of globalization.
