It is a prediction that the nursing shortage will become more serious and will have a larger duration as compared to ever experienced in the past, previous strategies implemented by authorities will be with limited access and outcomes. The low unemployment, aging nursing workforce, and global nature of this lack mix the common factors, which contribute to shortage of nursing. For stable change and confirmation of proper nurses' supply, there is a great need to provide solutions in various areas. The issue of shortage of nursing is not a single profession issue but it needs a combine effort from media, government, health care executives, education, and nursing leaders. The proper shortage data of the nurses is not available properly. The discussion that is going on related to this issue is interrelated and complex. It is not easily possible to figure out some fix solutions. The review gives the detailed understanding of the relationship between various variables (AACS, 2013).

It is noted that enrollment in the schools of nursing is decreasing. Since five, years, the admission in bachelor degree program of nursing has been declined. Across every region, there is the decline of 4.6 percent in the enrollment of nursing. In Master degree, the decline is 1.9 percent and varies state to state. Several reasons define the decline in the decrement of this nursing enrolment. One of the main reasons is the wide choice of education and career for females.
