Introduction

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the process of strategic management and leaders in the decision making. How they influence in the decision making in the favor of organization. Leaders are the motivators; they required their team performance at the level of best performance standards and competent which is the competitive advantage in the industry. They drive the goals of the organization and enable the path to meet them and achieve them in the friendly environment of the company. They also involve themselves in the communication with the members and groups at the tactical and management level, to know the hurdles in between the members and work process and also engage them to remove all the barrios, and use them in the decision making process this is one of the key role of the leaders to motivate them through the rewards and compensations which improve their performance level.

Strategic management process assists institutions to identify the aim to accomplish and how they will achieve the outcomes. The term strategic management deals with the study of whole decision making process. It contains the evaluation of the future goal and vision with process of planning and controlling, strategy making is the process which contains the evaluation of resources with the proper allocation and timely allocations and evaluation of alternative steps to overcome the challenges in strategy implementation process. It reduces the business risk and increases the opportunity and harmony in the business and enhances the business processes without any hurdles (Gluck, Kaufman & Wallach, 1980, p. n.d). Strategic management is an essential part of a business process; it is constructed by the leaders. As an important element of the management, significant leadership behavior is the key to structure the dynamic environment in the organization to develop the harmony in the business process where every employee can contributes to the organizational goal and can report the problems in the process timely. Leadership is the back bone of any business, leaders influence help to drive the individual or collective effort to the achievement of organizational goals.

Leaders and managers should posses the leadership qualities, as it is the competitive advantage for the organization. Organizations need to have strong leadership and strong management to increase the organizational efficiency.

Linkage between leaders and managers

Relationship between leadership and management are defined as;

When managers design the structure and divide the responsibilities and authorities, while leader provides the path and vision to the employees and encourage them to achieve it.

Management focuses on planning, staffing, organizing, directing and controlling; mainly leadership plays the part of directing the instructions to the managers, they emphasis on building relationship, listening, encouraging, teamwork and persuading the management and employees.

Leaders gets their authority from the supporters, while managers from their caliber in the organization.

Managers follow their leaders and company`s rules and procedures, while leaders follow their intuitions.
