Discussion Analysis
L.L Bean is the leading retailer and online company in USA; they pay their best attention to give customer satisfaction by giving the guarantee of 100% contentment. They offer wide variety of products that address to mass number of consumers need. However, recently it had been observed that the demand of LL Bean's products were badly affecting by low spending on goods due to elevated unemployment rate in United States. The current analysis shows that LL Bean's strengths include multi channel retailing that address to several segments of customers, Whereas, its weaknesses include product recalls and dependency on US economy.
Being a customer services executive, I am assigned to enhance these strengths and recover the weaknesses, as it is not possible to directly cut down it from roots but we can slow down the process for leading the company to profitability. L.L Bean has made their mission values for the employees and also golden rules to live up on them. They believe on selling high-quality products at sufficient profit and treats customers like human being, as consumer is the key resource of earning. The meaning of “treat customer like human beings” states their philosophy of customer-centric. According to L.L. Bean, customer is a most important ever -by mail or in person. It declares that customer does not depend on us but we depend on him. Another core value describes that customer does not interrupt in our work but he is the purpose of it, we do not give them any favor by serving but he is giving us the opportunity to work here.
The grand phrase “Customer is always right” portrays the clear picture that we are not here to argue with customer but to broaden our supply market. Though, it is very ironical but a true marketing rule. Being a part of the company, it is my responsible to fulfill the needs of the customers and facilitate them when they enter into our market or interface by other channels. Moreover, L.L Bean has set up its proper value for its customer, employee and stakeholders. It states that L.L Bean is a value based company that has the purpose of adding values for everyone belonged to the interest of the company. The great success of L.L Bean depends on the meeting of company's objectives of their stakeholders.
