Case Development on Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
For this paper, we shall be incorporating the whereabouts of how far and wide can strategies and implementation of different strategic tools can help reduce any hindrances or problems that may occur in the political environment. Here, we shall be aiming to reduce and decrease any problems or situations as individuals may have. We have taken up a case study that is with reference to the context of Central Intelligence Agency, where the importance of 'activity-based costing' (ABC) has been intended and undertaken to implement within the frame of the organization (Agnew, 2004).
What information is necessary for you to be able to manage the situation appropriately?
For implementing activity-based costing, one needs to understand and identify the cost of each and every major and petty activity that occurs in the frame of the organization.
Where would you get that information?
To understand the paper, there are two major sources from which we shall be able to yield necessary information, both on an internal and external note. With reference to the internal information, we shall skim through different avenues, such as surveys that would be done with the employee's consent, looking through financial records and financial statements, such as the balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows, which would help you gain maximum information regarding the expenditures that are being made. This way it would be easier for people to keep track of all the expenses and leakages that are made (Ascribe, 2003).
What analyses and research would you have to conduct?
For conducting an analysis and research, we shall skim through the historical trends regarding the credibility of applying this tool. To begin with, yields on information regarding activities prevailing in the organization could be eliminated in case those actions do not yield substantial gain or profit or contribute towards organizational success. In addition to this, products and service delivery processes could also be reduced or eliminated that are ineffective and allocate excessive cost that lead to the same product, thus contributing towards increased price of production (Ascribe, 2003).
What potential ethical issues do you foresee-and how would you resolve them? For considering the stemming and rising ethical issues, the most important that may rise in this context would be excessive spending in a particular activity, employees not having the opportunity to voice their opinion on decision making and citizen's tax money are wastefully spending. These are others must be minimized and targeted to be diminished. Thus to further reduce these issues and halting them from recurrence, a few parameters include reviewing current policies and practices, improving channels of complaint and feedback, responding and holding meeting with your reporting authority (RA) and addressing issues with immediate effect in order for any grievances to build and take toll and lastly surveying opinions regarding employees and customers that would help us understand and comprehend what are the key issues that must be ...
