Introduction

A grant proposal can simply be defined as a formal proposal that is provided to any civilian entity or government institution. The proposal covers three basic prospects that include the outlines and overview of the proposed project, the budget required for that project and the request for assistance in the form of a grant. Various private corporations, semi government foundations and government agencies every year give out millions of dollars to organizations in grants (New, 2003). The basic aim of all the private, government and semi government institutes to provide funds and aids to these companies is to address the issues these companies are interested in.. The example in the appendix B of a grant proposal can be used to create an outline of the necessary steps that are to be followed to write an affective proposal.

Discussion

The example does not follow the guidelines or format structure of a traditional grant request. On the contrary, the paper basically discusses the relationship between human social services and the importance of assessment and evaluation of the activities that are needed to plan, establish and maintain them. However, the paper follows pattern to request for the grant nevertheless. The difference is the constant reference to significance of constant assessment of the planning in order to achieve the desired. The subject chosen in the paper to explain the importance of planning is also used as a subject of the proposals that follows in parallel. Overview

The very first four lines of the very first paragraph are a simple introduction to the idea of assessment and judgment of the planning involved. The importance of this evaluation in planning is further related to the organization of human social services and activities (Bailey & Koney, 2000). Furthermore, the contribution of the participants be it planners, supervisor or employees is also discussed. The planning is then defined as ways and actions that will ensure the achievements of all the pre set goals and targets.

The next most important step followed after the overview in the paper is the identification of the two entities that are involved in the planning (Ward, 2011). Statement of Need

It is very important that the grant proposal written is sensible, justified and convincing of the need of community service proposed in the plan.
