Introduction

The policy that will be used as backup of funding stem-cell research was vetoed by the president of United States of America George W. Bush in March 2005; this policy was base on the federal funds for the research of new embryonic stem-cell bur the research progressed followed by the funding from governors of several American states. There have been many researches done in the past supporting the idea of the using stem cell for the betterment of the human life. Many funding have been done in past by the government officials and executives for the funding of the research on stem- cells (Panno, 2005).

Discussion

On January 7, 2007 it has been a report by many scientists that the stem cells that are the derivate from the cells produced in the amniotic fluid surrounding the a fetus in the womb. The extraction of this liquid from the womb, will put the lives of the new born and many other humans in danger. So, the research cannot be carried out for the medical benefits and advancements (Newton, 2007).

On July 19, 2006, the legislative policy was vetoed by the president George W. Bush. The house tried to suppress the veto but failed due to the 51 votes short as two-third majority was needed to veto the legislation. He maintained his position that this legislation will over whelm the moral and ethical boundary. He expressed that this research will be accompanied by put many human lives in danger of innocent people in order to find the benefits for the others.
