Impulse Turbine

Impulse turbine consists of blades which are followed by a set of rotor blades. These blades rotate to produce the rotary power. The fixed blades are pressurized by high steam, and there is also a decrease in energy which is mainly converted into kinetic energy, to give steam the levels of high velocities. The blades are rotated by this high steam velocity. There are no chances that blades convert all the steam energy into kinetic energy, but there is some amount of energy left as residual energy. The efficiency of impulse turbine is less than reactive turbine.
