The average body fat of the respondents was found to 18.93 which is certainly fewer than the recommended body fat of 20. Also, the average weight of the respondents was found to be 178.92. It is a well known fact that for a normally distributed data it has been assumed that mean = median = mode. The results are significantly correct following the normal distribution for the presence of body fat i.e. median and mode is found to be 19 respectively which significantly close to the mean. Similarly, the weight of the respondents are normally distributed as the median and are close to the mean i.e. 176.5 and 184.25 respectively. The modal value for weight is slightly higher but lies under the confidence interval.
Standard Deviation and Range
Variation and standard deviation shows the variability and deviations in the data set around the mean. Here, the standard deviation of body fat is 7.75 i.e. it will be added or subtracted from the mean to get a certain confidence interval 18.93 - 7.75 and 18.93 + 7.75. These results from the standard deviations show the 95% confidence interval that 95% of the data lies in this range. Similarly, the range of the variables shows the difference of maximum value in the data set and minimum value of the data set. Here, the range of the body fat is significantly higher i.e. 45.1 and that of body weight is 244.65 pounds which shows the reason of high variability.
Importance of Central tendency and Mean, Median and Mode
Central tendency is the frequency distribution of the number of columns prepared a concentrated trend toward the center of the observed value, the more the number of observed values ??in the vicinity of the center, away from the center less.
Mean
Mean is the determination of the level of the central tendency of a common number of features is mainly used for the analysis of the research object changing and developing all kinds of things in different space-time and historical conditions which also includes a market economy. The arithmetic average of the weighted average is the common average, the geometric mean of the three kinds. The arithmetic mean is used to reflect the average of a homogeneous group of observations. Apply to a normal or near- normal distribution of variable data. Less data obtained and no packet generally uses the arithmetic average of the algorithm. That is just to the average of all the data together in addition to its number, which is said often in everyday life (Porat & Friedlander, 1991).
If the data is the encountered packet and each set of data is repeated several times (frequency) with the above algorithm cannot solve. To calculate its average number must be done using the weighted average number of algorithms.
Median
The median refers to a set of data arranged in order of size, number in the middle position. It is also known as the 50th percentile score of ...
