Task 1 and 2

The data presented by the scenario was analyzed via the implication of descriptive statistics in order to extract grouped mean, standard deviation and coefficient of variation representing each factor in the data set. The data illustrated by the scenario prescribes two circumstances representing the lifespan of number of bulbs in hours. The results extracted from the implication of descriptive statistics are enlightened below. In this scenario, the company is concerned about the adaptability of contemporary methods of production. Nonetheless, the organization also wants to explore the quality influence directed by contemporary methods of production on the quality of product.

In this scenario, the study variable taken into consideration is lifespan in hours. Lifespan in hours is the study variables that represent the quality of the product in this scenario. According to the prescribed scenario, it can be stated that the company wants to explore the change in product quality caused by change in production methods. The scenario presents 4 batches produced by the organization. In this scenario, the first two batches (batch 1 and 2) accompany the products that have been manufactured using the old methods of production.

However, the other two batches (batch 3 and 4) represent the products that are manufactured under changed manufacturing method. These batches were manufactured by the company when the company adapted contemporary production process for manufacturing. In order to explore and contrast the product quality difference between the four batches produced under diverse manufacturing processes, the data illustrated by the scenario is analyzed via the implementation of descriptive statistics. The descriptive measures in this scenario are used to analyze the data illustrated by the scenario in order to obtain sample mean, sample standard deviation and coefficient of variation.

The sample mean in this scenario will represent the average lifespan representing different products produced in a batch. Through the analysis of sample mean, the product quality will be measured. In addition, this approach will facilitate the decision whether the old or contemporary manufacturing processes are feasible for production. Nonetheless, it can be stated that the implication of descriptive statistics also facilitate the extraction of standard deviation and coefficient of variation. These measures will facilitate the validity of the outcomes that are extracted from data in order to assure that the results enlightened by the implementation of statistical measures are authentic not hypothetical.

The analysis in this paper is aimed to enlighten the lifespan of products manufactured under batch 3 and batch 4. The lifespan of the products manufactured under batch 1 and batch 2 is already illustrated; hence, there is no need to examine the product lifespan represented by products in the prescribed batches. The analysis of the paper will aim to explore the lifespan of products manufactured under batch 3 and batch 4 in order to compare the results with the products manufactured under earlier batches.

If the sample mean representing the lifespan of products manufactured under batch 3 and batch 4 is greater than the sample mean of products manufactured under batch 1 and ...
