Introduction

Issue in the case study

Majority of the employees that are uninsured preferred to remain sick, or choose most common method of medication i.e. (self medication) as a substitute of visiting a professional and experience doctor(Bailey, 2012). The behavior of uninsured employees has a negative impact on the stakeholders of the company as it reduces the motivation of the employees and productivity of organization suffers because of employees continuous health issues that are not being properly resolved.

Impact of issue on healthcare center

If the prevailing situation continuous for some time more say three years from now than it will have a negative impact on the prospective of health care center. As the overall cost of the healthcare center will increase, it will have a worsen impact on the quality of healthcare services, and most importantly excess of employees towards the healthcare center will decrease at a rapid pace.

Evaluation of the current issue

The issue of uninsured American is getting bigger and worsening with the passage of time, particularly for the full time employees that are still not endow with the services of insurance, or are not in a position to utilize the services provided to them by the company (Blankenau, 2009). Moreover, this issue is more severe if analyzed from the perspective of the stakeholders of the healthcare center, as they have to bear the loss of revenue, patients, and quality of their services.

Meanwhile the overall cost of managing the operation of the organization is enormously affected when employees that are not provided with insurance benefits become sick, or suffer some major accident during the performance of organizational task. It is a general perspective that a sick or injured uninsured employee will take uniformed leave from the office, because he/she cannot bear the medical expenses from his minimum wage. In the recent survey conducted by (Gruber, 2008) it was identified that overall cost suffered by organization because of workers uninformed leave has increased to over 180 billion during the end of fiscal year 2012, the researcher further disclosed that the percentage of worker absenteeism in organization is more as compare to healthcare center. Further, (NIHCM, 2008) has explained that there are three ways through which organization can incur cost in case of employee absenteeism, firstly, absenteeism have a negative impact on the direct cost of the company particularly wages received by employees despite of being absent.
