Introduction

The stakeholder analysis is the most important analysis in the success of any program of mutual benefit. It is the study of the combined effect of need and expectations of different stakeholders on the success of the program.

Discussion

In the stakeholder analysis the first objective is to identify who the stakeholders are, what are their needs and expectations and how would they get their needs and expectations. In any human service programs the stakeholders consist of three major entities, which are, the community receiving the service, the charity providing the service and the funding institution donating the money to be used in providing human services to the community.

The program specific stakeholders are PEACE Domestic Violence Agency, citizens of the city of Portland and the National foundation. From the human services program's stakeholders analysis perspective the citizens of the city of Portland are the community receiving the service, PEACE is the charitable organization providing the service and the National Foundation is the funding institution donating the money to be used in providing human services to the community. Brief description of these stakeholder about who they are is described below.

PEACE Domestic Violence Agency

PEACE is a human services charitable organization that focuses on the victims of domestic violence. It works to reduce the trauma of and empower the victims of domestic violence thorough providing direct services to the victims. It also works to reduce the rate of domestic violence incidences through education and voicing up against the abuses.

City of Portland

The city of Portland is a city in the US state of Oregon with a population of 583,776 residents. The city is a large metropolis and in the last 5 years it has experienced rising rates of domestic violence.

The National Foundation

The national foundation is a donating organization and has an active program known as “Supporting Families”.

The mission and objective of this program of the National foundation is to fight against the plague of domestic violence and bring an end to this extremely common type of violence in the society. The National foundation aims to achieve this objective by providing better services to the young victims of domestic violence for their well being. It also works to educate the society and bring awareness on this issue. It also provides personalized services for improving the quality of life of families whose members are in prison. The “Supporting Families” also operates a program that is designed to rehabilitate young people who are involved in the criminal justice system.

The National foundation achieves its mission by donating to non - profit charitable organization. Currently it is operating two donation programs.

Small Grants Program

The “Small Grants Program” provides one-time grants of up to $5000 to charities and the annual budget for donations in this program is $500,000.
