History
In 1976, Stagecoach started its operation from Perth with small self-driven caravan and rental buses in the area. In mid of 1980 the company started school bus service. After acquiring A&C of McLennan of Spittalfield, Stagecoach entered into regular operation of bus service.
Stagecoach expanded its operation in outside of Scotland and acquired number of companies in the south of UK and also shown interest in the subsidiaries of National Bus Company privatization. The company expanded more significantly during the deregulation and privatization of transport sector. Company was listed on London Stock Exchange in 1993. In 1997, company acquired 49 percent share of Virgin Rail Group (Stagecoach Group, 2013).
