Introduction

In today's fast pace of competition, the women are also playing their significant roles along with men in all fields. The women are found in every field of studies as well as in sports. They are getting a variety of opportunities and are performing with high standards like that of the men. Unluckily in this modern era, the discrimination is also found among the genders. There is still the presence of discrimination which does not let the women to grow. There is certain glass ceiling that keeps the women at the back of the men. Therefore, in most of the organizations, the bosses and upper level of managers are men because the women are not considered as able to lead and administer the people. The “Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964” has given the laws against the gender discrimination to provide support to the women and other minorities ,but unfortunately, this law is very less practiced in the societies. The gender discrimination is also widely found in the area of sports. The following section aims at discussing in detail about the legal issues that are face by women in the sports.

There are a number of legal issues that are faced by women in the sports. Most commonly, the women are given fewer opportunities to play in the sports. There are small number of sport institutions and associations that spend an accurate amount of funds for the promotion of women sports.
