Biomechanics & Physiology for Coaching

Biomechanics & Physiology for Coaching

There is great significance of sports in human life because sports provide excitement and also keeps players healthy. This report will focus on football and will cover the biomechanics and physiology aspects of this football. There are many sports around the world but football is most famous and widely accepted sport around the globe. The main reason is that it is very effective for health as it requires lot hard work and also a cheap game to play. The report will highlight the biomechanics needs of the football and how biomechanics can assist coaching that will make the players more efficient. The second aspect is physiology which also facilitates coaching of football so report will also cover physiology needs of football. The report will also providing coaching program in the light of biomechanics and physiology needs of football.

The movement is the basis of human life. A variety of chemical and physical processes required for movements such as heart, blood flow, respiration, digestion, excretion, movement of the body in space and body parts relative to one another. There are different forms of motion such as complex neural activity which is the physiological mechanism of the mind and perception. The subject of biomechanics as a science is the study of changes in the arrangement of body parts and the reasons or the forces that cause these changes. Basically, Biomechanics is the science of the laws of mechanical motion in living systems. According to the principle, it studies the mechanical movements of material bodies. It includes physical actions of man as a system of mutually coupled active motions and positions of the body. The area of study of biomechanics involves mechanical and biological causes of movements, especially their performance in different conditions. The overall objective of the study is to assess the movement efficiency of application of forces to achieve the goal.

Principle of Biomechanics

The overall objective of the study of human movement in biomechanics of sport is evaluation of the application of forces to better achieve the goal. The study of motion in sports biomechanics is ultimately aimed at trying to find better ways of making actions fast and teach sportsmen to perform better. Therefore, it has a strong educational focus (McArdle, Katch & Katch, 2009, pp. 125).

The characteristics reveal the movement in time, when it began and ended (time), how long was the duration of movement, how often to perform the movement (tempo), as they were built in time (rhythm). The determination of the nature of human motion depends on the temporal and spatial scales (McArdle, Katch & Katch, 2009, pp. 125).

Time

This is a temporary measure and the position of the body system. Point in time (t) to determine the period of time from the start of a frame: [t] = T. Time is determined not only for the beginning and end of the movement, but also for other important provisions of the ...
